Challenge

A customer acquired a crypto industry company and we were asked to audit the acquired organization. Our assessment of the information security, quality, and processes of the infrastructure exposed multiple flaws.

Solution

The company decided that it was more practical to wind down the purchased line of business and start from scratch rather than correct the large number of security flaws found.

Outcome

Luckily for the customer, Servionix had performed the audit before the company acquisition was completed. Although the customer lost money on the acquisition, it was able to save its reputation – as well as funds – from a greater potential cyber incident or data leakage.
